Healthy diet for heart

We all are aware of the fact that diet plays a vital role in our overall development. If you want to avoid diseases, then a healthy diet is indispensable. It’s true even with the heart related diseases. A healthy diet can prevent heart attacks. It’s important to keep a watch on the calories that we intake based on our gender and age. The total intake of polysaturated fats and monosaturated fats should not be more than thirty percent of your everyday diet. Sodium intake should be avoided as much as possible because it leads to heart diseases. Sodium intake should be less than three thousand milligrams every day. Cholesterol should be avoided from the daily diet in order to keep your heart safe. If your body is prone to cholesterol, then you should avoid foods like organ meats, cheese, egg yolk, deep fried foods and most of the processed foods because it contains high cholesterol.
To have a healthy heart you should consume protein powder every day. Apart from that, all kinds of vegetables are good for your heart except yams, potatoes and sweet potatoes. Fresh fruits should be consumed everyday. Some of the other foods that are healthy for heart are tofu, soy products, soybeans, legumes and beans, oatmeal, whole wheat, whole grains, lean fish, oily fish, fish oil, skinless poultry, egg white, lean chicken, fat free dairy products like skimmed milk and yogurt. Use oil that is cholesterol free such as olive oil and canola oil.
Avoid alcohol, coffee and tea replace, them with green tea and herbal tea. To keep your heart safe avoid smoking. To live long safeguard your heart for it is your lifeline.
